About the Ohio AAP: Beyond merely a pediatric membership organization, the Ohio AAP has been a leader in programming, advocacy, and child health for over 30 years. The Ohio AAP accomplishes their mission by addressing the needs of children, their families, and their communities, and by supporting Chapter members through advocacy, education, research, service, and improving the systems through which they deliver pediatric care.

About the Team: They are a close-knit staff who are all focused on child health and supporting pediatricians who serve Ohio’s children and families. They are self-starters who are accountable for their own outcomes. They are problem solvers who keep the needs of their members and Ohio’s children on the forefront of their minds.

About the Position: This new position is an entry-level, administrative support role with the Ohio AAP. Supporting the CEO, COO, programs, events and education is the perfect way to learn about Ohio AAP and increase your capacity on the team over time.

Support functions include:

Provide daily administrative support to the CEO
Coordinate logistics for Board of Director meetings
Oversee and coordinate monthly membership mailings
Inventory and order supplies
Arrange conference room and order food for in-house meetings
Maintain and distribute a Board and Executive Committee calendar and contact list
Assist with grant reporting and expense tracking as needed
Coordinate staff support activities, holiday gatherings, and staff meetings
Provide support for planning, material preparation and onsite registration at all Chapter and Foundation meetings and events
Maintain accurate list of all program and event participants
Support the operations and evaluation of immunization programs
Assist with preparation and onsite support of community events

About the Successful Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications/characteristics:

Ability to ask astute program questions and understand programmatic terminology
Strong attention to detail with pride in quality of final work product
Passion for making a difference supporting the Ohio AAP mission
Maintain professional appearance and composure at all meetings and events
Proficient Microsoft skills, MAC OS desired
Have strong listening and problem-solving skills
Have a track record of taking the initiative to find the answer or solve problems
Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills
Enthusiasm to correctly articulate the goals and mission of the Ohio AAP at meetings and events in person or teleconference
Ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Flexible with the ability to rotate from task to task without sacrificing quality
Exercises sound judgment in position and tasks

Compensation: This is a full-time salaried position, paid time off (PTO), health, vision and dental insurance. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
