International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Customer Service and Program Administrator

International Trauma Life Support Ohio (ITLS Ohio), a service line of The Ohio Chapter, American College of Emergency Physicians (Ohio ACEP), is seeking a permanent part-time 20-30 hour/week program service and administrative specialist to support the International Trauma Life Support Ohio (ITLS Ohio) Program. ITLS Ohio is chartered as a chapter of International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and supports Ohio ACEP’s commitment to the education of emergency and prehospital trauma care providers.

This position serves the ITLS community- emergency medical technicians, faculty, physicians and instructors- and is responsible for information sharing and customer service, processing courses in the ITLS online database, administering and issuing EMS cards, invoicing class coordinators, maintaining and implementing ITLS policies and procedures and all administrative and operational functions relative to the ITLS program area and general office support. The ITLS Program Administrator will also assist with the ITLS Advisory Board, and ITLS Ohio Emergency Care Conference.

What We Expect from You:

  • This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and an appreciation for the work of the emergency medical services community
  • Experience working on PCs and a proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Internet browsers is a must
  • Communicate with course registrants and advisory board members by phone and e-mail
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a small team
  • Comfortable with managing up and working with advisory boards
  • Strong attention to details and documentation is required
  • Experience with association management databases or other database management tools is preferred
  • High school graduation and some college education preferred, but successful experience in professional administrative work and/or program coordination is more important

Pay range is negotiable and commensurate with experience and level of qualifications met but may range between $16 - $20 per hour. Potential for benefits. Flexible weekday hours offered.

International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing death and disability from trauma through education and emergency trauma care. Founded in 1985 as Basic Trauma Life Support International, ITLS adopted its new name in 2005 to better reflect its global role and impact. Since 1994, International Trauma Life Support has been managed by the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians.
