Senior Manager, Digital Content

The Senior Manager, Digital Content, is responsible for managing The Ohio Society of CPAs’ s website and plays a lead role in advancing OSCPA’s digital capabilities, working to drive digital/mobile technologies that increase performance and member value. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Society’s website and oversee a cross-organizational team in keeping web content current, delivering an engaging digital experience and ensuring a consistent brand voice across multiple channels.
  • Develop and manage annual digital content strategies to build and enrich relationships with targeted audiences, both members and others.
  • Plan and lead content and ideation sessions with cross functional teams including communications, marketing, learning and membership. 
  • Work with business owners and marketing managers to execute website and digital campaigns that drive increased traffic, user interaction and sales.
  • Work with interactive and graphic designers to develop search landing and custom pages on OSCPA’s website to meet identified business goals.
  • Ensure web design and navigation meets best practices in digital design, web usability and experience.
  • Write and source high-quality content that meets SEO best practices.
  • Copyedit all web content for grammar/spelling and to ensure overall accuracy, consistency, tone, style, and branding.
  • Develop the business case and requirements for digital projects that advance annual OSCPA goals and digital presence.
  • Work with IT and other business owners to prioritize new digital projects. Includes identifying project goals and business requirements, managing project plans and timelines, and ensuring accountability and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the IT and Business Analytics teams to develop measures of success (KPIs) for the website and digital content, and use data analytics to measure web traffic trends and identify tactics to improve content performance, user experience and sales conversion.
  • Compose monthly analytics reporting.
  • Monitor digital trends and evaluate new technologies to ensure the web and content management tools meet the organization’s needs and drive a strong digital presence and value experience.

Education and Experiece: A Bachelor’s degree in Communications and/and Multimedia, or a related degree with five years’ digital and writing experience at a company, public relations firm, advertising agency, interactive/web agency, not for profit or consulting firm. 

Skill Requirements: 

  • A proven track record of managing a website or other digital platform and developing digital, mobile, website, and social strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities with a keen ability to manage relationships and serve as a ‘client advocate’ for business owners.
  • Possess a healthy balance of creative, editorial, and technical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Excellent editing and proofing abilities
  • Understanding of digital design, web navigation, and user experience best practices
  • Proficient in SEO practices, basic HTML coding and uploading content into content management systems (preferably in a .NET based CMS) 
  • Experience working within a Software Development Lifecyle is helpful but not required
  • Understanding of digital analytics technology and experience monitoring data trends and translating these into future opportunities
  • Email platform/E Newsletter experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, PowerPoint and other graphics or presentation software, and CMS tools.
