The Ohio Insurance Institute (OII) is a member-run trade organization comprised of property and casualty insurance companies and related organizations throughout the state of Ohio. The mission of OII is to act as the Ohio property and casualty insurance industry’s voice on matters affecting or involving the industry. Their members include leading domestic, regional and national P/C insurance companies, trade groups and related organizations.

Their primary objective: To help Ohioans achieve a better understanding of insurance and related safety issues.

At The Ohio Insurance Institute, they strive to create a culture of excellence while having fun serving their membership. OII is searching for an enthusiastic business project coordinator to join their team. 

The ideal candidate looks like this:

  • Customer service focused, whether it’s a phone call or an email exchange, enthusiasm and   professionalism are top priorities
  • Able to work independently without significant assistance or as a part of a team. Flexibility to flow
    between these two working styles seamlessly
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Open and eager to learn new things

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Assists in the coordination of social media and blog posts
  • Provides research support for special projects and complex projects
  • Coordinates meetings and maintains calendars of high-level executives
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and places orders as needed
  • Proofreads external communications such as blog posts, reports, and press releases
  • Provides support with departmental expenses and tracks invoices
  • Provides administrative support as needed
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements for the position are as follows:

  • Positive attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or four years of related working experience equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated success in simultaneously managing multiple projects 
  • Skilled in professional communication with diverse audiences; excellent verbal and written
    communication
