Membership Engagement Manager
The American Ceramic Society
The American Ceramic Society is recruiting a Member Engagement Manager to join our team. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years relevant, progressively responsible experience, in a similar membership capacity. This position provides support to young professionals and undergrad and grad student programs. Market the Society, implement membership marketing, recruitment and retention programs. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Membership, located in the ACerS’ Westerville, Ohio, headquarters office.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bachelor degree with 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in association management, member services, and/or volunteer recruitment and management
- Responsible for data management and integrity
- Experienced in association management systems (AMS) to collect and organize member information
- Plan, execute, and achieve membership recruitment, retention, revenue, and services goals
- Develop tools and feedback mechanisms to gauge member satisfaction
- Understand basic budgeting and expense management
- Must be a creative and assertive leader with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, strong writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work with a range of internal and external contacts
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products and data management
- Travel required to ACerS meetings and conferences
