Membership Marketing Strategist

The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) is seeking a talented marketer to help drive their membership recruitment, retention and engagement efforts. The ideal candidate has the right mix of creativity, top-notch writing and strategic thinking skills, and digital and social media savvy to help position the Society as a key partner and resource for Ohio’s CPAs and related business professionals.

If you have a knack for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, a passion for writing compelling copy, a desire to take on new challenges and an interest in working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, they want to talk to you.

Ideally, you bring to the table three or more years of demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that generate results.

  • Have a proven track record of developing strategies that incorporate the right blend of channels, audience and message to drive member recruitment, retention and engagement
  • Are adept at creating comprehensive marketing plans to achieve organizational objectives
  • Understand how to select the segments and messages appropriate for each campaign
  • Engage in the digital- and social-media world and effectively harness the power of these channels to generate results
  • Nail deadlines with ease and produce quality, compelling work the first time
  • Multi-task effortlessly and keep your head in the game as you switch between projects
  • Possess a better-than-working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and can design when needed
  • Have solid web, CMS and email marketing skills
  • Know the value of data analytics and use such tools to guide decision-making
  • Edit well and accept constructive feedback with grace
  • Are skilled at monitoring the department workload and keeping projects on track
  • Enjoy collaborating with others, but work independently when required
  • Have a can-do, glad-to approach to working with others
  • Anticipate questions, aren’t afraid to ask questions and make it your business to find answers
  • Understand it is ok to make mistakes, but learn from them and avoid repeating them

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or journalism from an accredited university

Experience:

  • 3+ years of marketing or creative agency experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing programs
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics; certification preferred
  • Knowledge of web and CMS tools; basic HTML coding preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of CRM and member databases and can effectively pull member mailing lists
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
