Four OSAE Members Earn Their CAE Credential

Once again, 100 percent of OSAE member participants pass the certification exam

The society is pleased to announce that four of our members received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE. The winter 2016 class, which successfully completed the CAE Exam on Dec. 2, 2016, joins more than 4,000 industry leaders worldwide who have achieved this mark of excellence. Less than five percent of association professionals hold the CAE designation.

“Congratulations to the 148 newly-certified association executives,” said Gabriel Eckert, FASAE, CAE, chair of the CAE Commission and Executive Director at the Building Owners and Managers Association of Georgia. “By earning the CAE, they have achieved the highest level of professional competency in the area of association management. CAE’s utilize their knowledge and skills to advance their organization, enhance their career, and educate outside audiences about the important role associations play in our community.”

Congratulations to:

  • Lusanne Green, CAE; Executive Director, Ohio Community Corrections Association
  • Allen Lloyd II, CAE; Manager of Member Services, The Ohio Society of CPAs
  • Danielle Smith, MSW, MA, LSW, CAE; Executive Director, National Association of Social Workers Ohio Chapter
  • Jeff Smith, CAE; Director of Government Affairs and General Counsel, Ohio Insurance Agents Association, Inc.

The CAE Program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and to designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management. To earn the CAE, candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements and then submit an application. Once the applications are accepted, they must then take and pass the exam. After the credential is earned, it must be maintained by completing certification renewal requirements. OSAE is recognized as a CAE Approved Provider, and the CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). For association professionals who have already earned their CAE but need to continue to acquire CAE credits to meet the renewal requirements, they can do so by participating in the majority of programs OSAE offers.

These new CAEs will be recognized at the 2017 OSAE Annual Meeting, held in Butler County, Ohio, July 19-21. For more details about the CAE exam, contact ASAE credentialing at (202) 626-2759, email caedept@asaecenter.org or visit www.whatiscae.com.
