ASAE Announces Summit Award Winners

Recipients reflect highlight associations' valuable societal contributions

The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) recently announced the six winners of the 2017 Power of A Summit Awards, the highest recognition for associations that make exemplary commitments to creating a stronger America and world.

ASAE received 149 Power of A Award entries this year, with 23 programs selected to receive Power of A Gold Awards and 33 tabbed to receive Silver Awards. From among the gold winners, six programs were selected to receive a Summit Award: Association of Equipment Management Professionals (Glenwood Springs, CO); College of American Pathologists Foundation (Northfield, IL); National Auto Body Council (Walpole, MA); National Council for Behavioral Health (Washington, D.C.); Soroptimist International of the Americas (Philadelphia, PA); and National Volunteer Fire Council (Greenbelt, MD).

ASAE’s Power of A Awards highlight the association community’s valuable contributions to society on the local, national and global level. They honor the outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals in the areas of enriching lives, creating a competitive workforce, preparing society for the future, driving innovation and making a better world.

The winners will be formally recognized at the 18th Annual Power of A – Summit Awards Dinner on  Oct. 4, 2017 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
