Two OSAE Members Earn Their CAE Credential

They sat for the exam on May 5, 2017

The Ohio Society of Association Executives is pleased to announce that two (2) of our members have recently received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE. Congratulations to OSAE members: Michael Borowitz, CAE with OSAE Affiliate Member Clark, Schaefer Hackett; and Derek Neal, CAE, the Association for Middle Level Education, for their recent CAE certification.

In total, 98 association executives from around the country recently earned their CAE credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,200 industry leaders worldwide.

The Summer 2017 class of CAEs successfully completed the CAE examination administered nationwide in May 2017. They will be honored, along with the Winter class of CAEs, during the 2017 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Toronto, Canada, August 12-15.

“Congratulations to the new class of certified association executives! By earning your CAE, you have increased your knowledge and skills in the area of association management as well as helped to advance your career and organization in the industry,” said Gabriel Eckert, FASAE, CAE, chair of the CAE Commission and executive director at the Building Owners and Managers Association of Georgia.

The CAE Program serves to elevate professional standards, to enhance individual performance and to designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). OSAE is recognized as a CAE Approved Provider, and the CAE Program is accredited by the NCCA. For association professionals who have already earned their CAE but need to continue to acquire CAE credits to meet the renewal requirements, they can do so by participating in the vast majority of programs offered by OSAE.

The next CAE examination will be administered on Dec. 1, 2017. The application deadline is Sept. 22, 2017. Once again, this fall, OSAE will be holding a CAE Study Session program for those interested in sitting for the exam. For more details about the CAE exam, visit asaecenter.org/cae.
