Nominate Your Members for an Ohio Business Profile

This designation from the Secretary of State highlights the importance of Ohio's economic power

Over the past few years, Ohio Secretary of State (SOS) Jon Husted has used the Ohio Business Profile program to feature Ohio businesses. Each month, we compile a list of businesses around a certain theme and we are hoping you will partner with our office to recommend some of your members to be featured.

Included below is the list of the themes the secretary's office is planning to use for 2018. They would like to feature some of organization's members and would welcome your suggestions. The SOS would need the name of the organization and a contact to call. They must be registered in Ohio.

Please send your suggestions to Cassandra MacDonald at CMacDonald@OhioSecretaryofState.gov at least two months ahead of time for each feature month. Suggestions for January should be received by Nov. 15, 2017.

• January –  You Are Hired: Companies offering job training and workforce development programs to close the gap between education, skill and employment  
• February –  Minority-Owned Businesses
• March –  Woman-owned Businesses
• April –  Banking on Ohio: Financial institutions and those helping Ohioans manage their finances
• May –  Mainstreet Ohio: Small mom and pop shops found in downtown, small town Ohio enclaves
• June –  Empowering Opportunities: Companies offering opportunities to individuals recovering from drug abuse or second-chance citizens
• July –  Game On, Ohio: Ohio sporting institutions
• August –  Nonprofit Organizations
• September –  Agriculture 
• October –  Ohio’s Future: Innovative companies working with technologies that continuously move Ohio and the nation forward
• November –  Veteran-owned Businesses  
• December –  Made in Ohio (no suggestions needed for this month) as this is Husted’s last year in office, the agency will be highlighting many of the companies they have featured in previous years.
