OBM Opens Adult Day Portal for HB45 Funds
The Ohio Office of Budget Management (OBM) just announced the release of Adult Day Support payments appropriated through HB 45 funds. The announcement comes nearly four months after nursing facility funds from the same bill were distributed and ahead of a June 30 deadline set in HB45 for distribution of the funds.
Members can find the funding opportunity and application can be found on the OBM website under Funding Opportunities at the ARPA Adult Day Care Workforce Relief Program link.
Applicants can access the portal through July 31, 2023.
The funding opportunity contains:
- A listing of eligible applicants and funding allocations
- Application job aid
- Workforce Relief Program Guidance and Frequently Asked Questions
- Beneficiary Agreement (required to be signed and uploaded to the application)
- Reporting template (required for future reporting back to OBM in the Ohio Grants Portal)
To apply for this program, a provider must provide the following information:
- Medicaid Provider Number
- National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
It's also important to note the need for a supplier ID. If you do not have a supplier ID, it is imperative to apply for an ID as soon as possible. There currently is a backlog because of the increase for ID requests.
Program payments will be made by OBM to providers if the application is complete, matches the State of Ohio payee record, a signed Beneficiary Agreement is provided, and the application matches information provided from the Ohio Department of Aging. See the Adult Day Workforce Relief Guidance for additional details on the funding and application process.
LeadingAge Ohio hosted a webinar last Friday with representatives from OBM and Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) regarding questions and guidance on the application process. A recording of this webinar can be found here.
