Ohio Health Policy Summit to Highlight Strategies for Aging Services
The Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO) will host the 2025 Ohio Health Policy Summit on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the Event Center at Mitchell Hall on the Columbus State Community College campus. Registration opens at 8 a.m., and the program runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The statewide Summit will bring together policymakers, providers, and advocates to explore evidence-based strategies that improve outcomes for Ohioans across the lifespan—children, working-age adults, and older adults—while also addressing sustainable healthcare spending. For LeadingAge Ohio members, the event is an opportunity to hear directly from national and state experts on issues that shape long-term care policy and practice.
This year’s agenda includes keynote sessions on the implications of federal spending bills, ethical decision-making in resource-limited settings, and innovative approaches to community health challenges. Breakout sessions will cover topics directly relevant to our sector, including workforce strategies, system-spanning solutions that impact health and safety, and policy innovations to support older Ohioans. Interactive workshops will also provide skills training in advocacy, communication, and community-driven design.
The Summit builds on HPIO’s mission to advance evidence-informed policies that improve health, equity, and long-term sustainability in Ohio. For aging services providers, it offers both insight into policy trends and practical tools for strengthening care delivery and advocacy.
