2025 Ohio Governor’s Conference on Improving Quality of Ohio Nursing Homes set for Oct. 2
The 2025 Governor's Conference on Improving Quality of Ohio Nursing Homes will take place on Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
Hosted by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Provider Resources & Education Program, the free full-day conference is designed to elevate the standard of care in Ohio's 900-plus nursing homes. The event will feature national experts delivering professional learning tailored for leaders in long-term care, including:
- Dementia-care specialist Teepa Snow,
- Gerontologist Dr. Katherine Abbott of Miami University, Culture and leadership expert Chris Dyer, and
- Keynote speaker Janine Stange, whose story of caregiving and resilience underscores the impact of compassion in healthcare
This conference is an opportunity to gain practical tools and strategies to drive change in areas such as customer service, complaint reduction, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
