Be Honest About Today And Optimistic About Tomorrow

Grit is about facing challenges with your eyes open

Optimism must be tempered by a realistic assessment of the situation, and pointing out potential problems doesn't make someone a troublemaker.

Even Eeyore is right sometimes.

Overly optimistic leaders:

1. Minimize challenges.
2. Fail to anticipate problems.
3. Throw in the towel when it stays dark too long.
