After a decade as CEO of Nationwide, Steve Rasmussen is stepping down.
Rasmussen announced his retirement internally Thursday, the same day the company released its annual report. He will step down October 1, as the company's board of directors retains a search firm and begins a search for a successor.
“I am incredibly proud of all the Nationwide team has accomplished over the last decade, and I have been honored to lead our company as we evolved our business to support the needs of our members, partners and communities,” Rasmussen said in a statement, which also noted he would likely work with his successor to ensure a smooth transition.
