Clark Schaefer Hackett recently announced that Jon Plunkett, CPA will lead the firm’s Risk Management Services Group (RMSG). Working under the umbrella of our Financial Services Industry Group, the RMSG team provides comprehensive risk management solutions which are designed to assist financial institutions in the development of sound policies, procedures and internal controls.
“Over the past 30 years, CSH has developed one of the strongest financial services industry teams in the region, and the strength of our Risk Management Services Group has been a major factor in the growth of this industry sector,” said Scott Deters, chair of CSH’s Financial Services Industry Group. “Under Jon’s leadership, our RMSG team will continue to assist our region’s community-based banks and savings institutions stay compliant, manage risk and make smart decisions.”
Plunkett has more than 15 years’ experience in performing financial statement audits for financial institutions, working with organizations with assets ranging from $20 million to $750 million. He is also very active with regard to operations and regulatory compliance. This experience allows him the ability to communicate changes and trends in both financial reporting and the regulatory environment, as well as help clients identify potential operational efficiencies, internal model improvement and evaluate their current internal control environment. His experience includes both mutual savings institutions and closely-held companies, as well as organizations with SEC reporting requirements.
