John, Martin to Face Off in Republican Primary for Ohio House seat

For the first time in almost a decade, a new face will represent the district that covers all of Richland County.

Mark Romanchuk, R-Ontario, first elected in 2012 to Ohio's 2nd House District, is term-limited from running again. He's instead seeking election to the 22nd District of the Ohio Senate, a seat that's being vacated by term-limited state Senator Larry Obhof, R-Medina.

While four people have filed to be Romanchuk's successor, only the names of Marilyn John and Nathan Martin, both Republicans, will appear on the March 17 primary ballot.
