ASAE Announces 190 Professionals Earned CAE Credential

Two OSAE members among those who achieved the credential

One hundred and ninety association executives recently earned their Certified Association Executive (CAE®) credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE, joining more than 4,400 industry leaders worldwide. Among those who achieved the credential were two OSAE members: OSAE Foundation Chair Andrew Allman, CAE, the Ohio AgriBusiness Association; and Kathryn Kirschner, CAE
credentialing & education director, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

The winter 2020 class of CAEs successfully completed the CAE examination administered nationwide on Dec. 6, 2019. They will be honored, along with the Summer class of CAEs, during the 2020 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition in Las Vegas, NV, August 8-11. A full list of the Winter 2020 class is below.

"OSAE is extremely proud of both Andrew and Kathryn for this phenomenal achievement," said OSAE President & CEO Jarrod A. Clabaugh, CAE. "They were both very committed from the start, and anyone who has sat for the exam knows how difficult it is to achieve this feat. We are very proud of both of them and their commitment to industry excellence."

“On behalf of the CAE Commission, it is my pleasure to welcome the 190 association professionals of the 2020 winter class to the CAE community," said Donté P. Shannon, CAE, chair of the CAE Commission and CEO for the Association of Equipment Management Professionals. "Your ongoing commitment to the industry and your knowledge of association management practices will help your career and improve the organizations you serve."

The CAE program elevates professional standards, enhances individual performance, and designates those who have acquired and have demonstrated the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. The CAE program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

The next CAE examination will be administered in May 2020. The application deadline is Feb. 21. For more details about the CAE exam, visit asaecenter.org/cae.
