AD INDUSTRY TO PUBLIC: STAY HOME
The advertising industry’s nonprofit organization is helping to spread the public-safety mantra of the COVID-19 crisis: Stay home, save lives.
In an initiative launched this week, the Ad Council is collaborating with the White House, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The “#StayHome. Save Lives.'” effort is a follow-up to #AloneTogether, a campaign the Ad Council conducted with ViacomCBS-related brands such as MTV and Comedy Central. (A sample of that campaign can be seen below.)
The new campaign has the backing of several major ad agencies, trade associations, and platforms such as Google and YouTube. The campaign drives the public to Coronavirus.gov, a resource page run by the federal government.
