Front-line Food Trucks
A lot of organizations have needed to get creative to help maintain momentum for their members during the pandemic. One such group is the New York Food Truck Association (NYFTA), which, since the beginning of the month, has offered free food and beverages to healthcare workers at NYU’s Langone Hospital.
Teaming with some well-known food brands—among them La Colombe Coffee Roasters, Sweetgreen, Core Foods, Chobani and Pipsnacks—the food trucks are helping to fill a gap in food availability for healthcare workers, who have limited options near the hospital because cafeterias and food courts are closed.
