COVID-19 Update: 1,002 Deaths and 17,961 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Ohio

Today, Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Dr. Amy Acton held their daily COVID-19 (coronavirus) press briefing highlighting the developments around the state and within the state government.  Currently, there are no press conferences scheduled for tomorrow or Sunday.

As of May 1, 2020, there are 17,962 confirmed cases and 781 probable cases of COVID-19 in the state of Ohio for a total of 18,743 total cases. Additionally, there have been 1,002 deaths with 922 of them confirmed from COVID-19. There have been 3,634 hospitalizations and 1,056 ICU admissions. Governor DeWine also discussed the new Stay Safe Ohio Order. The order reopens businesses with exceptions, and details COVID-19 prevention requirements for operating businesses. You can access the order by selecting this link.
