Healthcare Workers Gather at Ohio Statehouse to Support Leaders' Response

They showed positive support for DeWine and Acton's actions

Health care workers and supporters gathered at the Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus on Sunday afternoon in support of state leaders' response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Over the past couple weeks, protestors against the state closures and stay-at-home order gathered downtown, frustrated over the hard economic impact and some likening the measures amid the pandemic to freedom infringement.

But members of the Physicians Action Network, a group consisting of health professionals across Ohio aiming to take a coordinated stand in support of progressive groups and causes, stood at the Statehouse with face coverings and rope between them to promote safe social distancing in support of Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton and front-line workers.
