Cities in Decline?
Among the many changes that the COVID–19 pandemic promises for the future, one of the most significant might be a population shift away from large cities.

“It’s not yet clear how the pandemic will reshape cities in the long run, but many experts say it will accelerate trends that were already underway before the coronavirus outbreak,” writes Kim Hart on Axios, citing a Harris poll released last month.

The survey of 2,050 U.S. adults found that 39 percent of urbanites were considering moving to a less crowded place, with those between the ages of 18 and 34 most likely to consider a move.
