Older Adults Get a Virtual Boost
The Massachusetts Senior Care Association (MSCA) is unveiling a tech system that will allow people in long-term care facilities across the state to have one-touch video visits with loved ones during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Done in partnership with Livindi, a connected care platform, the program supplies older adults with a specialized, easy-to-use tablet that connects them with caregivers and family members. Approximately one quarter of Americans ages 65 and older are socially isolated, putting them at heightened risk of dementia and premature death.
