Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) released the latest statistics tied to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. ODH reported 1,115 new confirmed cases and 58 hospitalizations today.
It also reported 141,671 confirmed cases, 4,439 deaths and 15,055 hospitalizations. The department also reported 129,498 presumed recoveries.
Currently, 625 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, according to the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA). The number of current hospitalizations has risen since dipping below 600 last weekend but is still lower than the more than 800 hospitalizations in late August. Per a report from WSYX-6, the current 7-day average positivity rate is 2.8 percent as of Sept 24. In mid-July, it had reached 6.5 percent; on Sept. 10, it had dropped to 3.9 percent, according to the state's data.
