COVID-19 Update: 165,627 Confirmed Cases, 4,730 Deaths

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) released the latest statistics tied to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. ODH reported 2,069 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in addition to 147 hospitalizations today. The previous record high was reported on Oct. 14 with 1,880 confirmed cases in a day.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine issued a warning in his press conference Wednesday, saying that Ohio could have a "tough winter" ahead as coronavirus cases and hospitalizations continue to increase.

It also reported 165,627 confirmed cases, 4,730 deaths and 16,669 hospitalizations. The department also reported 147,063 presumed recoveries. 

ODH also reported 10,216 probable cases and 308 additional deaths under an expanded case definition of COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
