New Collaborative Offers Infection Control Training to Healthcare Workers
With healthcare personnel nationwide continuing to work on the front lines in the battle against COVID-19, bringing them quick and easy access to critical infection prevention and control training is essential.
Project Firstline, a new collaboration between the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and some of the nation’s leading healthcare associations, will help to train staff in nursing homes, hospitals, dialysis centers and other facilities on how to respond rapidly and efficiently to the threat of COVID-19—while also protecting their own health.
The free online course series includes 11 video-based modules that explain not only the recommended infection control practices, but also the science and reasoning behind them.
