COVID-19 Update: 6,165 Newly Confirmed Cases and 379 Deaths

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) released the latest statistics tied to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. ODH reported 6,165 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases and 379 hospitalizations today.

Governor Mike DeWine will give a statewide address Wednesday night, making it the second time he will make a public appeal about the severity of the coronavirus' spread to residents since the pandemic began in March.

It also reported 247,260 confirmed cases, 5,212 deaths and 20,770 hospitalizations. The department also reported 189,079 presumed recoveries.

ODH also reported 14,222 probable cases and 335 additional deaths under an expanded case definition of COVID-19 from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
