The Ohio Contractors Association (OCA) is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Director, Member Events.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in marketing, journalism or a related field. The primary focus is event planning for association-wide events which are held both domestically and internationally.

The candidate must demonstrate:

Recognizing the growing demand for communication via internet social media, experience with various on-line communication tools is required (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, webinars, etc.).

Specific experience with Word and Excel are required and an ability to utilize other “off-the-shelf” computer programs/tools is desirable.

The association utilizes iMIS as its membership database management platform; therefore, experience with this management tool is highly desirable. To facilitate the creation of pamphlets and brochures, etc., graphic design experience is, also, desirable.

This position interacts with OCA members located across the state of Ohio. There are typically three international travel opportunities each year. The Director will be on international travel status approximately three (3) weeks per year. Additional travel domestically and within Ohio is minimal. Work hours are generally 8-hours per day but may be adjusted, with approval of the association President, based on travel demands.
