The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) today reported 4,989 newly confirmed cases and 254 hospitalizations and 55 deaths in the past 24 hours.
ODH also reported 836,065 confirmed cases, 10,336 deaths and 43,605 hospitalizations. The department reported 694,905 presumed recoveries. According to ODH, 456,131 people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
ODH is now including antigen test results in the total number of cases (confirmed and probable). Governor Mike DeWine said antigen tests are "a bigger part of the overall picture of understanding COVID-19" and that it's important to capture that information.
