The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 4,262 new cases of COVID-19, 295 hospitalizations and 88 deaths today.
ODH also reported 872,918 confirmed cases, 10,856 deaths and 45,276 hospitalizations. The department reported 731,088 presumed recoveries. According to ODH, 607,893 people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
ODH is now including antigen test results in the total number of cases (confirmed and probable). Governor Mike DeWine said antigen tests are "a bigger part of the overall picture of understanding COVID-19" and that it's important to capture that information.
The next press conference is currently scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m.
