The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 5,366 new cases of COVID-19, 254 hospitalizations and 75 deaths today.
ODH also reported 878,284 confirmed cases, 10,931 deaths and 45,530 hospitalizations. The department reported 757,003 presumed recoveries. According to ODH, 682,705 people who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
ODH is now including antigen test results in the total number of cases (confirmed and probable). Governor Mike DeWine said antigen tests are "a bigger part of the overall picture of understanding COVID-19" and that it's important to capture that information.
The next press conference is currently scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 28 at 2:00 p.m.
