Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 1,774 new cases of COVID-19, 79 hospitalizations and 54 deaths. There is a disclaimer on the data saying the state continues to reconcile the data and the number of deaths will fluctuate.
Earlier this month, ODH announced as many as 4,100 COVID-19 deaths may have been underreported through the state's system between October and December. The death counts had been higher recently because of the issue.
ODH also reported 966,154 confirmed cases, 17,237 deaths and 50,197 hospitalizations. Today, the department reported 907,410 presumed recoveries and said approximately 1,620,452 people had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
