Governor DeWine to Hold COVID-19 Press Conference

It will be broadcast at 2 p.m. on the Ohio Channel

Today, Governor Mike DeWine, along with Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Director Bruce Vanderhoff, M.D., M.B.A. will hold a press conference to discuss COVID-19 at 2 p.m.

Numerous local hospital leaders will be in attendance to discuss the effects of the current Delta variant wave on Ohio hospitals. Representatives will include Alan Rivera, M.D., Hospitalist, Fulton County Health Center; Suzanne Bennett, M.D., Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program Director, University of Cincinnati Health; Terri Alexander, R.N., P.C.C.N., Summa Health (Akron) and Joe Bates, R.N., B.S.N., Clinical Coordinator, Critical Care Unit, Genesis HealthCare System (Zanesville).

This press conference will be conducted with remote viewing options. The media question and answer session with DeWine and other participants will be conducted by video conference. Reporters should RSVP by email to Dan.Tierney@governor.ohio.gov to receive video conference information.
