Visit Bowling Green for Holly Days

Events kick off Nov. 19, 2021

This holiday season, experience Bowling Green Ohio’s Main Street filled with tradition and twinkling lights. Locally-owned shops are filled with unique gifts and all the trimmings. The aromas from the community's local coffee roasters and restaurants float through the air welcoming everyone into the warmth of a cozy booth or chair. It’s the perfect time of year to shop, dine and explore Bowling Green, Ohio!

Families, neighbors and friends will gather at the Wood County District Public Library on Nov. 19, 2021 for the Community Tree lighting – an annual tradition    to watch the magical switch flip and set the tree aglow. Enjoy sipping hot cocoa in the glow of the tree and delight in the performances of the Madrigals and Julie’s Dance Studio.

Saturday begins with great fanfare as sounds from drums, trumpets and tubas fill the air! The Bowling Green Community Holiday Parade, northwest Ohio’s largest, steps off down Main Street with local marching bands and beautiful floats decorated in the “Elves on Main” theme. The streets are filled with children and their families waiting in anticipation of the man of the hour, Santa himself.

After you’ve had your fill of turkey, and your thoughts turn to gift buying, be sure to remember to support local businesses. Shop Small Business Saturday marks the national recognition of the importance of these businesses to our community. Even Santa can be found filling his shopping bag in our town! Not sure what size or color would make the right gift? Downtown Dollars are perfect for everyone! You can even participate in some Downtown BG Holly Days activities to win some!

Bowling Green Ohio is a community that gives back, and the city encourages you to do the same this season. Take part in any of the local initiatives happening there on "Giving Tuesday." Everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts. Be a part of the global generosity movement and celebrate all acts of giving.
