Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 8,944 new cases of COVID-19 and 425 new hospitalizations. The agency did not report any additional deaths from the virus.
ODH also reported 1,699,161 confirmed cases, 26,587 deaths and 86,878 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 1,565,087 presumed recoveries and indicated approximately 6,771,593 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine. This figure still represents less than 58 percent of Ohioans - a very low figure compared to numbers nationwide.
