Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 20,598 new cases of COVID-19 and 250 new hospitalizations. The agency also reported 667 additional deaths.
Friday's case marks a new single-day record for cases in the state. Since Dec. 26, ODH has reported 105,104 new cases of COVID.
ODH also reported 2,016,095 confirmed cases, 29,447 deaths and 96,433 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 1,745,280 presumed recoveries and indicated approximately 6,996,480 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine. This figure represents approximately 60 percent of Ohioans - a very low figure compared to numbers nationwide.
