COVID-19 Update: 4,808 Newly Confirmed Cases

Week of April 11, 2022

Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 4,808 new COVID-19 cases and 317 new hospitalizations for the week.

The agency also reported 100 additional deaths from COVID.

The ODH also reported 2,681,437 confirmed cases, 38,464 deaths and 114,538 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 7,295,208 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine; this figure represents 62.41 percent - a low figure compared to numbers nationwide. The national figure is 82.1 percent. Only 7,161 more people in Ohio received their first dose in the past week.

On March 14, 2022, the ODH announced it will only report COVID-19 data weekly rather than daily. This is in response to a significant decrease in cases and hospitalizations statewide. It will only be reported on Thursday; thus, OSAP will only report it on Thursdays, too.
