Today, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) reported 17,530 new COVID-19 cases and 482 new hospitalizations for the week.
The agency also reported 29 additional deaths from COVID.
The ODH also reported 2,780,653 confirmed cases, 38,857 deaths and 117,390 hospitalizations. The agency also reported 7,338,145 Ohioans have received at least one dose of the vaccine; this figure represents 62.78 percent - a low figure compared to numbers nationwide, which are approximately 82.7 percent of the populace.
On March 14, 2022, the ODH announced it will only report COVID-19 data weekly rather than daily. This is in response to a significant decrease in cases and hospitalizations statewide. It will only be reported on Thursday; thus, OSAP will only report it on Thursdays, too.
