Survey Finds 80 Percent of Workers Regret Pandemic Resignations

According to a survey of 825 employees and 354 employers that the human resources firm Paychex released last month, 80 percent of employees who left their jobs during the pandemic said they now regret it.

That percentage rose to 89 percent of those born after 1996. And while 68 percent of all job-hoppers told Paychex they tried to get their old positions back, only 27 percent of employers reported rehiring any of them.
