OABA Awards $40,000 in Scholarships

The organization is committed to investing in the future of Ohio's ag industry

The Ohio AgriBusiness Association (OABA) recently awarded more than $40,000 in scholarships to 28 students across Ohio through the OABA Educational Trust, the George Greenleaf AgriIndustry Endowment and the OABA Endowed Scholarship Fund. The OABA Educational Trust scholarship program annually awards scholarship dollars to students enrolled in an agriculture-related field attending The Ohio State University and Ohio State’s Agricultural Technical Institute, Central State University, Clark State Community College and Wilmington College.

"OABA is proud to support the next generation of industry leaders through our scholarship program,” said Chris Henney, CAE, OABA president and CEO. “We believe that investing in the education and development of young professionals is crucial to ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of agriculture in Ohio. We congratulate this year's recipients and look forward to seeing their continued success and contributions to our industry."

The OABA Educational Trust scholarship fund is supported by donations from OABA member companies, and through three primary fundraising activities: two Golf for Scholarships outings and a Target: Scholarships sporting clays event.
