OSAP Q3 Lunch & Learn

The Importance of Crisis Communication Preparedness

Zoom

Join us for the OSAP Q3 educational event on Thursday, Sept 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. as we hear from Scott Scott Light ConsultingLight, from Scott Light Consulting,  on the importance of crisis communication preparedness. This subject is on the minds of many in the current climate, and we look forward to Light's perspective.

Whether it is media relations, a crisis or public relations, a useful approach is to relate the tenets to a current event. For example, crisis communications related to the developers of the current COVID vaccine could circle back to a moment in time for Johnson & Johnson, specifically, the Tylenol poisoning scare in the 1980's. J&J created a crisis communications template during that time that is still a model today.

Attendees will gain on overview of Light's "Four Tenets of Crisis Communications," including a one-sheet takeaway as a reference for their own use in building a communications strategy. There will also be time for Q&A. To learn more about our speaker, please select this link.

Due to several factors, this event will be held via Zoom.
