Digital Communications Coordinator

Ohio Association for Justice

The Ohio Association for Justice, a statewide association of trial attorneys headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, is looking to hire a full-time digital communications coordinator to manage the content and methods in which the organization communicates electronically, including its website, emails, social media, podcasts, and digital and print publications. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborate with other members of the OAJ team in a small-staff environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the organization’s digital brand and web presence, including maintaining, editing, and updating the organizational website(s)
  • Coordinates the design of promotional materials and distribution through online and print channels
  • Produces copy for and maintains all social media accounts
  • Generates content for marketing emails and tracks results
  • Assists in development of content for website and online media, including social media accounts
  • Contributes to the successful delivery of OAJ’s publications: Ohio Trial, Sidebar, In Brief and The Quarterly
  • Supports planning and editing of podcasts, short videos, and web content
  • Assists with OAJ conventions and other events, as needed
  • Collaborates with other team members on multiple projects simultaneously in progress
  • Functions as a part of a highly cohesive, small-staff team and contribute to the overall success of the organization
  • Provides excellent customer service to OAJ members and collaborators
  • Occasional in-state travel required (less than 5% of the time)
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, social media, or communications roles
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Previous experience in image, audio and video editing preferred, including experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of AP style a plus
  • Self-starter focused on completing tasks in a timely manner and of the highest quality
  • Ability to provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism to OAJ’s attorney members
