Columbus is ‘On The Clock’ For High-stakes Association Executives’ Convention in ’19
The meeting will bring close to $20 million in visitor spending
Columbus convention and tourism leaders have been crowing for two years about landing the sought-after American Society of Association Executives annual meeting — putting out press releases, talking about it at events and including it in their email signatures. Now, they’re “on the clock” for the August 2019 meeting in Columbus, as Experience Columbus CEO Brian Ross says.
“Next up – Columbus! We can’t wait to welcome you to our great city,” Ross said Tuesday, after congratulating this year’s host city, Chicago, at a luncheon concluding the four-day event.
Experience Columbus, the city’s convention bureau, hosted Tuesday’s lunch, which capped days’ worth of promotions aimed at convention attendees, who are influential in deciding where to hold their associations’ events.
