Report: Generational Shifts Reshaping Business Travel
Business travel has a lot of fans among the younger set
Business travel has a lot of fans among the younger set, and their habits could be leading to a reevaluation of what work trips should be.
That’s according to the travel management firm TripActions in the 2018 edition of its State of Business Travel Report. The firm, which surveyed 2,900 travelers on their company’s travel programs, noted that nearly 40 percent of millennial and gen Z workers said they wouldn’t accept a job at an organization that did not allow them to travel for business.
And business travel can be a real shot in the arm for employers: Roughly 90 percent of respondents said they see travel as an employment perk, while 80 percent said they feel more excited about their job after traveling.
