Ohio General Election Results Summary

Some totals could change based on provisional, absentee ballots

In general, Republicans swept all statewide offices, fended off challenges to their Congressional seats and expanded their Ohio Senate majority. Democrats did gain a handful of Ohio House seats and a seat on the Ohio Supreme Court, but failed to make significant inroads in Republican dominance of state government. Incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown cruised to re-election and will certainly see his stock rise as Democrats consider candidates for president in 2020.
