Canine Companions for Independence is Breaking Ground April 3

The organization has raised more than $13 million of its $21 million goal

Because of donors' generous support, Canine Companions for Independence® is thrilled to announce it is breaking ground on the new Canine Companions for Independence® campus in the North Central Region. With assistance from donors, the organization has raised more than $13 million toward its $21 million goal. It’s truly amazing to see people from all over the United States contribute to help make this campus a reality. Their gifts will have an impact on countless future Canine Companions assistance dog recipients.

On Feb. 15, CCI launched a “Push-for-the-Shovel” campaign at each National Graduation Day ceremony, encouraging everyone to take part and support the new campus. Anyone who donated $25 or more received a commemorative gold shovel keychain to show they are helping to break ground on this important project.

This campaign is running through the end of March with a goal of raising $50,000, and CCI is making great progress.
