Can You Feel Your Derrière In Your Chair?

The value of being present

My beloved dog had leukemia and passed away last week. Her brother, a boxer who lived 13.5 years, declined rapidly and suddenly, and we had to say goodbye the day before. It was an atrocious week.

If you’ve ever been to treetree, there’s a good chance you met our Frenchie mascot, Maddie (and you probably know her by one of her many nicknames). They included "Piggie," "Maddie moo," "Pig-a-pot-o-fish"—that one comes with a long story—and Madeline Eclair Creampuff Apfelstadt.

She’s an original tree, and she saw every single day of the first 10 years. And she got very sick.
