John Legend Draws Large Crowd At ASAE Fundraiser
He urged attendees to practice love in today's climate
Jenifer Grady has attended many American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) meetings on behalf of Tenn-Share, a Nashville organization that helps libraries save money. But when it comes to The Classic, an annual fundraiser for the ASAE Foundation, Grady usually passes. Not this year.
“I usually don’t press the button for The Classic, but this time, I didn’t even hesitate,” Grady, 50, said. “John Legend is performing. That’s it, no other reason.”
Grady was among nearly 2,250 attendees who filled the floor of Nationwide Arena on Monday night for The Classic, a sold-out fundraiser concert by Legend that was a part of ASAE’s three-day annual meeting in Columbus, which ends Tuesday.
