Diabetes Association’s Campaign Pushes Public to Get Tested

Nine in 10 people at risk of diabetes aren’t aware of their risk

Do you know your risk of diabetes? If not, November is a pretty great month to get an understanding of it—and to act.

In a new campaign timed to American Diabetes Month, the American Diabetes Association has a new campaign, “Count Me in,” that aims to highlight the risks of diabetes, along with the fact that many people are unaware of those risks.

According to ADA, on top of the 30 million U.S. adults who have diabetes, 84 million Americans are at risk—and 90 percent are unaware that they’re at risk.
